Meeting needs for local food production

People are increasingly recognizing the importance of controlling their food supplies. For some it is health, i.e. a desire for high quality, fresh, home-grown foods. For others, it is concern for the environment and wanting to reduce their reliance on transporting food across states or even nations. Still others want to grow food to maintain independence for reasons of security, while others yet find great joy in gardening. Educators value the importance of teaching children how to grow food as part of their preparation for the future. For these reasons and more, people want to be able to grow food at home. Thanks to efficient systems that can be integrated into walls, windows, parts of rooms or outdoor greenhouses, growing one’s food can be easier and more convenient than ever before.
